Debate Summary

Present your argument:

On October 21, 2013 Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced a constitutional amendment that would hold government officials to the same laws as any U.S. citizen. We live by rule of law but we survive in a world of waivers and exemptions. The only problem is most people are unaware of them or how to take advantage of them. If they do, often they don't apply to that individual or class of people.

They hypocrisy is driving everyone crazy as we try to resolve complex issues. Is the Senator's attempt to change the constitution naive or are there enough voters in the states who would agree that this could be one of many laws that are worthy of consideration and support?

On Oct 11, the resolution was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary. Who sits on Judiciary? Take a look. If you live in CA, TX, UT, NY, AL or several other states you may be one of their constituents and you could make a difference.
